About Me

I’m Olivia, a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist working with adult individuals and couples.

I have always been passionate about understanding why we are the way we are. No more so than when we do not seem to quite fit into the world around us. Understanding ourselves and our pasts and how that influences our lives can transform feelings of shame, frustration, anxiety and depression, into feelings of self-acceptance, empowerment and a nurturing of who you truly are.

I specialise in working with neurodivergent adults who are looking for a place to be heard, understood and understand themselves. There is no need to have a formal diagnosis, anyone is welcome. I work with clients, with a variety of neurodivergences, including (but not limited to) those with ADHD, autism and OCD, Tourette's Syndrome (tics), dyslexia and dyscalculia.

Even if the challenges you face are not directly linked to neurodivergence, I can offer a space where your neurodivergence is fully understood and taken into account, as we work through what might be going on in your life.

I work from a psychodynamic perspective, which means we'll work together to explore how your experiences have shaped you both in past and present, giving insight and clarity into patterns in your life. From there we can look to shift patterns and help you feel more in control of your life.

I offer walking - talking therapy for those that find it easier to walk and talk rather than sit face to face in a room.

I'm a registered member of the BACP. If you're curious or unsure where to start, you're very welcome to get in touch and we can set up a free 30 minute initial meeting to get to know each other.

My Style of Therapy

Contact

Due to the nature of Psychodynamic work, I like to offer long-term, deep client work, truly getting to know you to offer the most beneficial and significant change. However, I can offer shorter term work if longer-term work is not possible or preferable.

I also like to incorperate neuroscience where appropriate, which can help explain how  processes in the brain may influence how you feel and respond.

I tend to work open-endedly, which means there is no limit to the number of sessions available.
